Turning it on
In the workspace, click the folder header in the sidebar and choose Multi-PDF chat. Or use the URL shortcut: /folder/<folder-name>. You'll see all documents in that folder loaded as context.
Asking questions
Multi-PDF chat works exactly like single-doc chat — but answers cite which document each claim came from. Example:
What are the indemnification caps across all of our active contracts? → 2× annual fees in MSA-Acme [doc: Acme MSA, p.47] → 1× annual fees in MSA-Helix [doc: Helix MSA, p.32] → Uncapped (with carve-outs) in Aria SOW [doc: Aria SOW, p.8]
How many documents can I include?
No hard limit — we've tested up to 200 documents in a single Thread. Latency increases with document count; 40-60 is the sweet spot for sub-2-second responses.
Threads — saved searches
Save a multi-doc question as a Thread. When you add new documents to the folder, we re-run the saved question and email you the diff. Useful for tracking a deal room, a research bundle, or quarterly filings.
